Founder Csilla von Boeselager (1941-1994)

The foundation was born immediately after the fall of the German Wall. Building on her prior successes, Csilla had already raised sufficient capital in 1991 to found the "Boeselager Stiftung Osteuropahilfe" (Boeselager Foundation Aid for Eastern Europe). It was renamed to "Csilla von Boeselager Stiftung Osteurophilfe" after her death in 1994.

Since then, the people she worked with to re-develop Eastern Europe have continued their hard work. Many of them are partners of the foundation today: voluntarily they look after homeless, sick and dying people. They are living examples that everyone can play a part in building their country.
